Bachelor of Arts (English)

Introduction

English has become the most spoken language in the world. Wherever you visit the local people either speak the local language or English or both. Well, it is a Bachelor of Arts in English. Bachelor of Arts in English which is also known as BA in Arts is a 3-year undergraduate course for students interested in a career related to the English literature. The course primarily aims at introducing a comprehensive variety of writing and inspires students to read novels of various genres getting benefits accordingly.


Eligibility

To take up any course, it is essential for the institute and you to know whether you are eligible for it or not. So they keep some requirements after whose fulfilment you are suitable for taking admission in that institute. Most of the institute follows similar conditions, but it might change from college to college. So it would be best if you looked for those in their official website. Here are the most recognized criteria.

 

  • An applicant must have passed 10+2 level from a recognized institute or board with English as the mandatory subject. 
  • An applicant if applying from general quota should score an aggregate of at least 50% while if joining from SC/ST quota should secure a sum of at least 45%. The score might change as per colleges. 



Syllabus
