Introduction

Like other medications, this field also requires a particular qualification, which is a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. It is famously known as BHMS. BHMS is a 5.5-year undergraduate course, including 4.5 years of study followed by one year of internship. Talking about Homeopathy, it is based on the self-healing power of our bodies. There are many topics involved in this course, some of which are Human Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology along with Community Medicine.


Eligibility

BHMS course is an undergraduate course. To apply for this course, a student must secure its seat by satisfying a few requirements. Some of these requirements are as follows. 

  • An applicant must complete the 10+2 level or equivalent degree from a recognized institute. 
  • The mandatory subjects at 10+2 level are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. 
  • An applicant must secure an aggregate score of at least 50%, although it might vary from college to college. 
  • An applicant must have completed 17 years. 


Entrance Examination

Some institutes provide admission considering the result of class 12, but some ask for entrance examination results also. In this course too, some colleges offer entry on the consideration of some entrance tests. Some of the popularly accepted examinations are described in the table below.
