Introduction

Bachelor of Management Studies, also known as BMS, is a 3-year undergraduate course. This course is based on the study of management of various aspects of any organisation. Students having an interest in topics like Human Resource Management, Finance Management, or such can pursue this course as it covers everything. The course provides basic knowledge about how to manage an organisation and most importantly, Human Resource Management. After pursuing this course, the degree holders can either study further for postgraduate courses like Master of Business Administration or Master of Business Studies or get a job. The average starting package for a BMS degree holder is between ₹1,80,000 to ₹4,80,000 per annum. They are eligible to get placements in organisations like Banks, Corporate business, etc. in India.

 

Eligibility

Institutes provide entry to the students based on a few criteria stating our eligibility for the course. If we are eligible for the course in the particular institute only then, we get admission in that institute. Many institutes follow the standard requirements criteria, but few might change it so always verify this with the institute. Given below are the regular requirements criteria. 

 

  • An aspirant must have completed the level of 10+2 qualification from any discipline from a recognised educational board. 
  • An aspirant must have secured a minimum of 50% in aggregate in level 10+2 if he/she is applying form general category. At the same time, students applying from SC/ST category are relived of 5%, which means they require 45% in aggregate. 
  • An aspirant must aspire relevant skills like Mathematics, excellent communication and problem-solving. 
  • Some institutes might even ask the applicants to give entrance examination as informed by them. 

Entrance Examination

Eligibility of an applicant can be verified through scores of the previously given examinations, but sometimes even it can not be useful. So the concept of entrance examination was introduced. Institutes ask the students to give the entrance examination and secure the desired score by the institute. There are various such examinations carried place in India.
