Introduction

Tourism plays a vital role in earning revenue for any country. It is one of the most popular ways of making revenue as the majority of nations are considering and developing tourism industry for earning income. They are planning and implementing new ideas and studies which helps the aspiring students to understand this field in deep. Bachelor in Tourism Management, also known as BTM, is an example of the planning. BTM is a 3-year undergraduate course based on the tourism industry. This course allows the students to inherit knowledge about management and a few relevant topics necessary to work in an organisation. The primary aim of this course is building an ability to maintain and increase the relationship between consumer and the organisation's service they hire for tourism purpose. After pursuing this course, the degree holder gets access to various job opportunities in sectors like hospitality, transportation, and mobility sectors. The average annual salary for a newbie in this field is evaluated anywhere between ₹2,40,000 - ₹4,80,000.


Eligibility

Eligibility is a significant concern for any institute while providing admission to the applicants. Many students apply for a particular course in a specific institute, but not all the students need to be qualified for it. So institutes ask the applicants to fulfil a set of criteria. Given below are the set of rules accepted in most institutes. However, it may differ for a few institutes. 


  • An applicant must have completed the 10+2 level from any discipline from a recognised institute or educational board. 
  • The minimum score required for general category student in the class 12th examination is 50% and for SC/ST candidates is 45%.
