Diploma in Chemical Engineering

Introduction

Chemicals are one of the vital resources in most of the industries as they help in producing a product or in the relevant activity. It has led to many opportunities, so here we have brought up a study about it, which is a Diploma in Chemical Engineering. It is a 3-year diploma course for the student desiring a future in chemicals or related fields. The course brings up a comprehensive research study on Physics, Chemistry, and life sciences. The program has a lot for any student who likes chemistry as it imparts knowledge about the application of chemical sciences. During the course, along with theoretical knowledge, students are also provided practical experience through plant visits. This is a helpful step in their future endeavours. Perspectives like Thermodynamics, Chemical Technology and Heat Transfer are taught in this course.

The average fee for pursuing this course in India lies anywhere between ₹15,000 - ₹1,50,000 depending upon the college. After completion of this course, students can either pursue higher studies in this or relevant field or get a job. They can be appointed as Process Engineer, Market Analyst, Field Operator or such with an annual salary ranging between ₹1,00,000 - ₹6,00,000.

Eligibility

Students after completing 10th class are eligible to pursue this course but after fulfilling a few requirements mentioned by institutes. Most of the required criteria are same, but it may differ from institute to institute. Given below are the standard requirements demanded in most institutes for applying for this course.

  • Applicants must have passed 10th class with Science and Mathematics as the primary subjects. Some institute also includes English as one of the principal subjects.
  • Applicants must have secured a minimum score of 45% in all the subjects to get admission in one of the institutes. It may also differ from institute to institute.
