Bachelor of Science in Microbiology

Introduction

Biology is a vast field of knowledge as it contains information of all the natural things present on Earth. It has many branches and Microbiology one of those. For pursuing a career in it, a student has to achieve the required qualification and Bachelor of Science in Microbiology is a relevant course. It is a 3-year long undergraduate course in the discipline of Biological Science. The course provides a lot of information and benefits of microorganisms in our life. As microorganisms are minute in size, the usage of tools like microscopes is taught in this course. The courses provide a study on bacteria, viruses, protozoa and fungi. The course also covers subjects like physiology, genetics of microorganisms and biochemistry as they are a part of biology.

The average fee charged by a college in India with average or above-average service can be anywhere between ₹30,000 - ₹3,00,000. After completing this course, the students are eligible for either study further or get a job. Job profiles offered for B.Sc in Microbiology degree holder are Bacteriologist, Biochemist, Cell Biologist, etc. The starting package of his course ranges anywhere between ₹2,00,000 - ₹10,00,000 depending upon various factors.
